Stone Acre Projects Ltd, is the product of the combined vision of Andrew Rennick and Andrew Craig, who formerly worked together at Chris Stewart Group in Edinburgh. With a wealth of experience built up running mixed use and often complex property developments, Stone Acre is well placed to be able to undertake complicated development projects across Scotland and potentially further afield. Being opportunity driven, we pride ourselves on being able to deliver anything from high quality listed building residential conversions, to new build commercial units. Our focus being on prime locations and delivering our projects with a design led approach.
 
We have had a strong start, securing 3 of our own development projects and also undertaking an exciting development management role for Standard Life Investments on the residential element of their development on south St Andrew Square in Edinburgh.
 
A quick overview of our projects:
 
Distiller’s House
We are currently in planning to deliver 11 residential units and an office in this B listed building on Torphichen Street, in Edinburgh’s bustling West End. Full of charm and ornate period features, this building lends itself to the creation of fantastic ‘pied a terre’ style apartments, with on site car parking available.  All going to plan we hope to be on site in Summer 2015 with a project completion in Q1 2016.
 
Blackfriars Lofts
We have now lodged a planning application to transform this redundant former church on Blackfriars Street into a restaurant over ground and basement levels with around 100 covers, and 8 amazing loft style apartments on the upper floors.  An exciting development which gives a restaurant operator the rare opportunity to create an exclusive dining space of this size just off the Royal Mile, whilst letting us bring some fantastic apartments to the market next year.
 
The DP&L, Dundee
This iconic building in Dundee having been in the same ownership for nearly a century, is now the focus of our attention to create 10 apartments on the upper floors and two office suites on the ground floor. We are working with our designers to create amazing spaces that enhance the ornate features and history of the building, while at the same time, creating modern and vibrant living spaces. Being located on the edge of the Waterfront regeneration zone, The DP&L refurbishment will help in the wider transformation of this area of Dundee.
 
Forsyth House
Working on behalf of Standard Life Investments, we are leading the conversion of the A Listed Forsyth House on the south side of St Andrew Square into five large exclusive residential apartments. All with the added benefit of a high specification, private parking and superb views on to the Square and across to Fife.
 
The Future
We clearly have a lot on at present, but we are keen to grow Stone Acre in to one of the major multi sector property development companies in Edinburgh. By working with a variety of different funding sources enables us to undertake a diverse range of development projects. Currently we are working on some interesting projects which we hope to announce in the coming months, ranging from some lovely rural housing through to a prime retail and residential development in one of Edinburgh’s most sought after areas.
